PauseInk app
PauseInk requires no user account, contains no advertising and, in the current build, no user tracking or first-party analytics or advertising services. According to the app privacy manifest, PauseInk collects no personal data.
Local system access
The app uses local iPadOS functions for settings, file timestamps and timing of pencil and gesture actions. These accesses are used only for app functionality and are not used by PauseInk for tracking or sent to a PauseInk server.
Project files
Project content is stored at the location selected by the user – locally on the iPad or with a file provider such as iCloud Drive. PauseInk does not operate its own cloud storage service for project files.
Images, PDFs and exports
Images and PDFs selected by the user are processed inside the app or project. Exports are handed to destinations selected by the user. PauseInk does not upload this content to its own server.
iCloud and other file providers
When an external file provider is used, its processing is governed by that provider’s terms and privacy settings.
This website
pauseink.app is delivered through Cloudflare. When the site is accessed, technically necessary connection and security data (in particular IP address, timestamp and HTTP request data) are processed to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. PauseInk uses no advertising or tracking cookies and has not enabled optional web analytics.
Automatic language selection
The website automatically chooses a supported language based on the languages available in the browser. Detection takes place in the browser; PauseInk does not set a cookie or store a language preference on the device.
Email support
Messages sent to support@pauseink.app are forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to the support mailbox. Cloudflare and the email provider used for the mailbox process the data required to transmit and deliver the message. Message content and sender information are used only to handle the request.
Legal bases
Technically necessary website data is processed on the basis of the legitimate interest in providing a secure and functional website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Depending on the request, support messages are processed to handle the request or on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
Retention
Support messages are kept only as long as necessary to handle the request and, where required, to retain appropriate records. Technical log data is processed according to the retention periods of the hosting and email services used.
Your rights
Where the legal requirements are met, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Changes
This notice will be updated if the data processing of the app, website or services used changes.
